Principle Investigator
Dr. Ping Wang joined the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering at HKUST as a tenure-track Assistant Professor in 2025. He received his B.S. degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2017 and his Ph.D. degree from Princeton University in 2023. From 2023 to 2025, he worked in the tech industry, focusing on power architecture for AI computing systems. He is a recipient of the IEEE PELS Ph.D. Thesis Talk Award (2024), two Prize Paper Awards from the IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics (2020, 2021), two First-Place Awards in the IEEE ECCE Best Student Project Demo Competition (2019, 2021), the First Place Award from the Innovation Forum of Princeton University (2019), and the Outstanding Presentation Award at the 2022 IEEE APEC.
